Rainstorm in El Dorado State Park

I’m real proud of this one. I visited El Dorado State Park for the first time after getting a few hours early off of work. The canyon walls are sheer so storms tend to creep up on you suddenly. Rain clouds constantly passed overhead, alternating showers and sudden sun. As is normal this time of year in the Rockies.

I opted for a monochrome edit as it really brings out the texture of the pines and mountain. The sky is blown out - yet the actual sky was a similar toneless gray-white with no cloud definition. So I’m entirely okay with this - in fact, it adds an extra minimalist touch that I really like.
